Barsham Brewery Partnership
Royal Norwich is delighted to announce its latest partnership with Norfolk-based Barsham Brewery.
Over the last few year’s Barsham Brewery, based at the West Barsham Estate in North Norfolk, has grown to become one of region’s leading craft brewers. The Norfolk brewery only began brewing in 2017, but since then has won five Great Taste Awards and seen its beers go on sale in pubs, bars and shops across East Anglia including the Queen’s Sandringham Estate.
“We’re delighted to be extending our ‘Royal’ connections and partnering with Royal Norwich. Their commitment in providing the very best experience and the highest quality product for its visitors and members is a perfect match for our own vision and long-term growth plan,” says Rob Howlett, operations manager at Barsham Brewery.
Along with stocking several of Barsham Brewery’s award-winning draught and bottled beers at Royal Norwich, the partnership will also include the actual brewing by Barsham Brewing of Royal Norwich’s own 1893 IPA beer using its on-site microbrewery and the subsequent bottling and distribution of the beer across the Norfolk region.
“It’s great to be able to extend our own distribution, but it’s not often you work with a client that has installed their own micro-brewery!” added Rob. “It’s therefore an added bonus to be working with another team of passionate brewers in helping develop their own unique beer.”
Royal Norwich installed its own micro-brewery in 2019 when it relocated to its new venue in Weston, just outside Norwich. With a full brewing set-up, the micro-brewery produces thousands of pints which are available not only available to Royal Norwich members, but all customers of The Stables; a multi-faceted bar and dining venue at Royal Norwich that is also open to the public.
“Being passionate brewers ourselves we’re thrilled to be partnering with Barsham Brewery,” said James Stanley, chief executive at Royal Norwich. “Barsham are leading the way, not just in Norfolk but across the UK with their award-winning beer so it’s exciting time for us to be working with them. And like us, with their rich Norfolk heritage and commitment to delivering an exceptional experience it’s a natural fit that is mutually beneficial for both brands.”
